From July 30 to August 1, 2027, it’s “SHOWTIME” at Rosengarten Mannheim, when AnimagiC opens its doors and the wonderful richness and range of Japanese pop culture comes to Germany for one weekend!

At the 27th edition of the convention, look forward to a top-tier, diverse, and exciting line-up of trending Music Acts, first-class Japanese, international, and German-language Anime & Manga guests of honor, as well as fantastic show acts, the Animotion Film Festival with premiere screenings, and industry exhibitors and vendors from Germany, Japan, and around the world—in short: a magical weekend celebration for Anime, Manga, Japanese Music, and Culture fans! Program & guests will be revealed in the coming weeks and months!

Since 1999, AnimagiC has presented top-tier guests of honor from the fields of anime, manga, video games, music, and pop culture in cooperation with German, Japanese, and international companies—a line-up hardly matched by any other event in Europe! First announcements for 2027 coming soon.

Look forward to unforgettable live concerts by top Anisong Music Acts and rising stars at Rosengarten’s Mozart Hall and historic Musen Hall – presented in close cooperation with Japanese major labels and independent artists, and complemented by hand-picked productions “made in Germany”! All concerts are included in your AnimagiC ticket.

Premiere-packed anime cinema – at no extra charge: With the Animotion Film and Series Festival, we bring you anime movies and episodes on the big screen in cooperation with local, Japanese, and international publishers, streaming platforms, and production houses. Stay tuned for the anime premieres and highlights of 2027!

German Industry Fan Connection: Japanese production houses and German publishers will be presenting their current line-ups, highlights, and upcoming top titles! Their exhibitor booths welcome you with exclusive products, new releases, and fun activities centered around trending focus titles, and the staff looks forward to engage with the fans!

Made in Germany & Europe: High-profile guests of honor from the worlds of manga and anime present their latest works and projects at AnimagiC year after year, offering insights into their work and signing for the audience! Stay tuned for the 2027 manga and anime dubbing guest announcements!

Born from pure passion and love for anime, manga & more: fans come together to form stage ensembles, developing, rehearsing, and performing theater, musical, and show productions of their current favorite titles independently with unmatched energy. We are excited to reveal the 2027 show groups here in the upcoming months!

A matter close to our hearts: At the big charity auction, we auction off signed manga and anime collectibles from the AnimagiC archive, as well as exclusive items our guests of honor bring along to AnimagiC. The proceeds go to the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP, which builds schools in developing countries. Place your bids, join in the excitement, and win real treasures for a good cause!

SHOWTIME for your cosplays on stage! Keeping with our great tradition, we are reserving a spot on our big stage for cosplay—with our in-house competition, the AnimagiC Stage Cosplay. Information about the competition on AnimagiC Saturday, July 31, 2027 at Mozart Hall and registration for 2027 to follow shortly.

Carpe Noctem: Celebrate with us at the exclusive evening event Night of Cosplay on AnimagiC Saturday evening at “Ella & Louis”, July 31 from 8:30 PM to approx. 2:30 AM (minimum age: 18 years)! Our Night of Cosplay team will provide you with atmospheric music and more. Find everything about the Night of Cosplay, the dress code, and impressions from previous years on the Night of Cosplay instagram feed (@nightofcosplay). Please note: Due to the separate entrance, no AnimagiC ticket is required, but a separately available Night of Cosplay ticket is. The event is limited to 171 people. The ticket for the Night of Cosplay will be available starting September 9, 2026 in the AnimagiC ticket shop.

At AnimagiC, publishers and distributors await you with their current programs and exclusive new releases. In addition, hand-picked specialist vendors present their special products, from figures and Japanese household goods to manga and artbook imports. The range of goods is complemented by the Bring & Buy Flea Market, the creative Artist Alley, and the Charity Auction.

SHOWTIME for Independent Productions: Self-published manga, handmade accessories, illustrations, designs & more are available at the lovingly decorated sales tables in the Artist Alley – directly from their independent creators! The application phase for 2027 starts soon.

SHOWTIME for your treasures: At the popular Bring & Buy flea market at Vario Hall, you can sell and buy secondhand items – and also stock up on exclusive AnimagiC merch! With Bring & Buy Express, you may prepare your items at home already, including number assignment, and drop them off faster on-site. More information to follow.

SHOWTIME for hands-on action: In the large Games Area, the Gamesroom S*Vv*A*M*P presents a wide-ranging gaming lineup with popular classics and current highlights, plus exciting contests and tournaments. In addition, informative workshops on all things Japan invite you to join in. More info on the supporting program will follow.

J-Food-Experience: Whether it’s savory ramen, sweet crêpes, onigiri, or soft serve ice cream – the Food Area offers culinary highlights straight from Japan. For an authentic themed café experience in the best Akihabara tradition, team Maido no Kisetsu is back to welcome you at the Maid Café with delicious cakes, homemade iced tea, various coffee specialties, and many other delights.

Content Creator & Influencer: AnimagiC is a live event for the on-site audience. Live streaming is not permitted. Film, photo, and audio recordings are not permitted without the organizer’s approval. Content creators with a focus on anime, manga, Japanese games, and pop culture may apply for a press ticket within the accreditation period and guidelines. Read more on our Press site.
